Short Story part 1Moonlight from the window on the north wall danced across Luke's bed. His sleeping form lay beneath the sheets, unmoving, save light rising and falling of his chest with each shallow breath. A deafening silence hung in the air, much like humidity floats above one's head during late summer months. Suddenly Luke sprung up from his bed, unable to catch his breath. Beads of sweat rolled down his face as he threw off his blankets, grabbing the nearest book on his nightstand to fan himself with. As quickly as the hot flash had come it was gone. Luke sank back onto his pillows, and looked at the book he held in his hand. Lord of the Flies. HeShort Story part 1
